It's Russian Man to the rescue!

These are my zhaleyki. The white one is sol (plays in the key of g) and the black one is la (plays in the key of A)
For Liz who wanted to see the reed, that's what it looks like when you take the white cap off. It's plastic single read, and I don't know what those things holding it on are. possibly plastic or rubber bands.
This is my not so great picture of Seryozha playing three instruments at once. Lena, on the left, is holding a Balalaika and her left hand is doing the fingering. Seryozha's right hand is strumming. Seryozha's left hand is playing the left hand part of the accordian. Sasha, standing in the back is holding a zhaleyka and doing the fingering while Seryozha blows. It really was impressive to watch.

First time I used the timer funciton on my camera. And James still doesn't smile.

This was one of the doors into Notre Dame. They were all really pretty. This might have been just a small side door.

The Louvre. Closed the day we tried to go, so we had to stay another day and go back again.

This is a neat building we happend to come across while wandering randomly in search of internet, and failing at that in search of a bathroom. We finally ended up in a coin operated bathroom on the sidewalk. It was neat.
The next day we actually made it into the Louvre. This is the neatest statue I've ever seen. How do you carve marble to look like a trasnparent veil. I was very impressed.
I took this picture because I want to make myself that dress.
I don't know why I took this picture. And with a flash as well. Probably the signs that so no flashes were in French or something.
And I really don't know why I took a picture of this. Someone who knows French want to translate it for me, and then maybe I'll know why I took it?
This is a bit of the ceiling in one of the rooms of the Louvre. The whole building was like that. I found the architecture more interesting than a lot of the art. As a side note, I saw the Mona Lisa, but it appears I didn't take a picture. It had a big crowd around it but wasn't very exciting looking.
Rachel is pouting because she's wearing her pajamas since all of her clothes was wet. She put it to dry in the hostel and then went to sleep. In the morning turned out the dryer had shut off. This is us at a train station in umm, Hamburg?
We took a train from Hamburg to Copenhagen. The train unexpectedly went on a ferry. Here we are on the ferry.
We heard some people speaking in English, so we asked them to take this photo for us. On a train between Germany and Denmark who knows what languagese all those other people spoke.
It is a bird. It is blue. I have no idea where this is or why I took the picture. Rachel, you have any idea?

Swans are scary. Some people were feeding ducks, and the swans came over to join in. I figured we were safe, because we were like 10 feet away from the people with the bread. Then the swans started coming straight at us and we retreated a bit.
It's...um...a church. A pretty church. Somewhere. In Europe.

On a train from Belin to Cologne it started snowing. We jumped off at some place when the train stopped for thirty seconds to let people on and off. Rachel and Russell almost didn't make it back on the train, but I stood there fighting with the doors to keep them opened.
We had a two hour stopover in Cologne. We built a snowman and had a snowball fight, then desperately tried to warm up in the train station.
Penguins at the zoo in Antwerp. They really liked to chase my scarf.
We spent a long time at the zoo and the only pictures I took were the penguins.
This was part of a snow and ice sculpture display. It was really beautiful. And really cold.
This is a beautiful ice sclupture of a delicate castle or clock or something. I can't remember if it was some specific building, but I think it might have been,
A slide made out of ice. I really wanted to go down it, but signs said don't touch the ice.

This is the best street performer I've ever seen. The guy in the back facing the camera isn't a statue. If he stood still without moving I wouldn't have been able to tell. And I watched him put on make up to look like a statue. It was amazing how real it looked.
Russell asleep in my windowsill. If I'd taken the picture a little farther back it would probably look cuter. I've got a big windowsill.
